Six teens arrested following pursuit, crash - Erskineville

Six teens have been arrested following a pursuit in Sydney’s Inner West.
About 12.35am today (Sunday 29 June 2025), officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command attempted to stop a vehicle on Erskineville Road, Erskineville, following reports it had allegedly been stolen earlier this week.
When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated before the hatchback crashed into a pole on Botany Road, Mascot.
Six boys – all aged in their teens – allegedly ran from the vehicle after the crash, before they were located in the vicinity and arrested with assistance from PolAir and officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command.
The driver – a 14-year-old boy – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for abdominal pain and taken to Sydney Childrens Hospital in a stable condition.
The passengers were not injured, and were taken to the same hospital as a precaution.
All six remain in hospital under police guard.
Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
