Man arrested over alleged stabbing in Mount Druitt - Strike Force Leeman

A man was arrested over an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 5.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 24 June 2025), emergency services were called to a shopping centre on Carlisle Avenue, Mount Druitt, following reports of a group of men to be fighting.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and found a 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man had suffered stab wounds during an alleged affray.

They were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command established Strike Force Leeman to commence an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, about 4pm today (Wednesday 25 June 2025, strike force detectives arrested an 18-year-old man at a home on Rooty Hill Road, North Rooty Hill.

He was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station for further inquiries.

Investigation under Strike Force Leeman continue.
