Inquiry underway into Mt Druitt shopping centre affray

An investigation is continuing and two people remain in hospital after being injured in a fight inside a shopping centre in Mt Druitt yesterday.

Officers attached to Mt Druitt Police Area Command were called to a shopping centre on Carlise Avenue about 5.15pm (Tuesday 24 June 2025), after a group of men were reported to be fighting.

Police arrived to find a 17-year-old youth and a 22-year-old man had suffered stab wounds during the affray.

They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital where they are each reported to be in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation in relation to the incident.

Strike Force Leeman has been formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and police are now appealing for anyone with information about the incident, or with phone vision, to come forward.
