Appeal to locate teenage girl missing from Yowie Bay

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney’s south.

Matilda Butterworth, aged 16, was last seen on Attunga Road, Yowie Bay, yesterday (Monday 23 June 2025).

Officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command were contacted and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Police and family hold concerns for Matilda’s welfare due to her age.

Matilda is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 160cm-165cm tall, of thin build, with long brown hair and blue eyes.

Matilda is known to frequent Yowie Bay, Caringbah South, Sutherland, Kirrawee and Engadine areas.
