Appeal for information after man stabbed in abdomen at Sydney bus stop

Sydney City Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in the abdomen at a bus stop in Sydney this morning.
Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command were called to the corner of George and Angel Street shortly before 5.30am (Friday 20 June 2025), after a man was found suffering a stab wound to his abdomen.
Police rendered first aid until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and the man – aged 19 – was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene was established, and police immediately commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries, police believe the stabbing happened at a bus stop outside Wynyard Railway Station on Carrington Street, about 5am.
As inquiries continue police are hoping to speak with a man who was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, with facial hair and was last seen wearing a beige coloured hooded jumper and light-coloured pants.
