Teen arrested, firearm seized after stolen car crashes - Revesby

Bankstown Police have seized a firearm, arrested a teen and are searching for a second after a stolen car crashed in Sydney’s south-west this morning.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were called to Flood Avenue, Revesby, about 5.40am (Wednesday 18 June 2025), and found a stolen SUV had hit a tree before the driver and passengers fled the scene.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
About 8.40am today, police were called to back to Flood Avenue, Revesby, following reports of suspicious activity.
Upon arrival, officers saw a group run from a parked Toyota Corolla – believed to have been stolen from Riverstone – into a nearby home.
Police – with assistance from PolAir and Dog Unit officers – tracked the youths before arresting a 15-year-old boy. He was taken to Bankstown Police Station.
During the arrest, police also located and seized a rifle from the home.
As inquiries continue, investigators from Strike Force Sweetenham are hoping to speak with a teenage boy who was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
He is described as being of Maori/Pacific Islander Appearance and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and black pants.
