Appeal for information following serious crash near Wagga Wagga

Police are appealing for information following a serious crash in the Riverina last night.

About 6pm (Thursday 12 June 2025), emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, Gumly Gumly, near the intersection of Bakers Lane, following reports of a car and motorcycle crash.

Passerby stopped and assisted the 23-year-old male rider who was ejected from the bike, before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated him for serious injuries.

The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in a serious condition.

The 39-year-old female driver sustained minor injuries. She was also taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit.
