Three charged after almost 40 western Sydney businesses allegedly hit with break-ins

Three people have been charged after a covert operation was established to investigate multiple break-ins targeting premises across western Sydney during the past three weeks.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command, with the assistance of staff attached to North West Metropolitan Region, formed Strike Force Allanson on Monday 26 May 2025, after almost 40 businesses were broken into across western Sydney between Tuesday 13 May and today (Wednesday 4 June 2025).
Police will allege a 42-year-old woman coordinated a break, enter and steal campaign targeting a variety of businesses including cafes and takeaways stores, barbers, and supermarkets.
Police will further allege young men were used to assist in the break-ins.
Strike Force Allanson police arrested the woman and an 18-year-old man shortly after 5am (Wednesday 4 June 2025), outside a supermarket in Whitecross Road, Winmalee.
Police will allege the man was armed with a hammer and was arrested after smashing the glass window multiple times. The woman was arrested in a car nearby and both taken to Springwood Police Station.
An 18-year-old man was arrested about 10am at a home in Sorenson Crescent, Blackett. He was taken to St Mary’s Police Station.
A Suzuki Swift, which police will allege was the car being used in all operations, has been seized and taken for further examination.
Hammers were allegedly used to smash windows and doors by men who then stole goods, cash, and personal items. Total damage to the businesses is estimated to be up to $150,000.
Concurrently, a search warrant was executed at a unit on Sorenson Crescent, Blackett, where police allegedly seized several items believed to be linked to the investigation.
Following inquiries, the 42-year-old woman was charged with:
- Aggravated dwelling etc in company steal less than $60000 (38 counts)
- Drive, licence suspended (seven counts)
- Possess prohibited drug
One 18-year-old was charged with aggravated dwelling etc in company steal less than $60000 and breach of bail.
They were refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 5 June 2025).
The second 18-year-old was charged with aggravated dwelling etc in company steal less than $60000 (6 counts).
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 16 July 2025.
Investigation are ongoing.
