Man charged following Peakhurst soccer brawl

A man has been charged after an alleged brawl at a soccer game in Peakhurst over the weekend.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command were called to Gannons Park about 4.50pm (Saturday 31 May 2025), responding to reports up to 40 fans and players were fighting.

Police were on scene within minutes, but the crowd had dispersed.

There have been no reports of injuries or property damaged.

Following inquiries, yesterday (Tuesday 3 June 2025), a 20-year-old man was arrested at Kogarah Police Station and charged with affray.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 24 June 2025.

Inquiries are continuing.
