Man charged with DV, firearms, drug offences - Armidale

A man will face court charged for domestic violence, firearms and drugs-related offences in Armidale.
About 10.10pm on Tuesday 27 May 2025, officers attached to New England Police District attended a home on Tamar Place, Armidale, to speak to a man in relation to a domestic incident.
Police searched the home for the 24-year-old man and declared the home a crime scene.
Officers located and seized, replica firearms, gel blasters, firearm parts, cannabis leaf and seeds, fireworks, psilocybin mushrooms, and white substance believed to be methylamphetamine.
About 11.50pm, the man arrived back at the home and was arrested and taken to Armidale Police Station.
He was charged with possess unauthorised pistol, two counts of possess prohibited drug, two counts of supply prohibited drug over indictable and under commercial quantity, handle explosive/precursor without authorising licence, intentionally choke person without consent (DV), and assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV).
The man was refused bail and appeared at Moree Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 28 May 2025), where he was given conditional bail to appear at Armidale Local Court on Monday 16 June 2025.
