Man dies when struck by vehicle - Primbee

A man has died after he was struck by a vehicle on the state’s south.

About 6pm today (Tuesday 27 May 2025), emergency services were called to the intersection of Windang Road and Bakers Lane, Primbee, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man – believed to be aged in his 70’s – however, he died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle – a 57-year-old woman – was not injured and taken to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Two northbound lanes of Windang Road are closed, and motorists are advised to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com for updates.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
