Multiple injured in public place shooting - Parramatta

Multiple people are being treated for gunshot injuries following a public place shooting in Parramatta this afternoon.
About 5.10pm (Sunday 25 May 2025), emergency services were called to Church Street, Parramatta, following reports of a public place shooting.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command arrived and located two men with multiple gunshot wounds and two other men who were uninjured in a car.
Both men are being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and will be taken to hospital for further treatment.
A short time later police were called to Sherwood Street, Merrylands West, following reports of a car fire.
Officers arrived and located a car and a nearby tree well alight.
Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze; however, the vehicle was destroyed.
Police will be investigating if the two incidents are linked.
A crime scene has been established at both locations and detectives have commenced an investigation into the incidents.
