Appeal to locate teen missing from Lakemba

Police are appealing for assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney’s south west.

Areti Lygdas, aged 15, was last seen on Brande Street, Belmore, about 10pm yesterday (Monday 19 May 2025).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns due to her age.

Areti is described as being of Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern appearance, about 165cm tall, of slim build, with long dyed red hair and hazel eyes.

She is possibly wearing a yellow hoodie jumper.

She is known to frequent the Lakemba and Campsie areas.
