Appeal to locate woman missing from Georges Hall

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney’s southern suburbs.

Maria Nesci, aged 71, was last seen in the vicinity of Marden Street and Barlow Place, Georges Hall, about 10am today (Sunday 18 May 2025).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

There are concerns for Maria’s welfare as she lives with several heath issues and due to the current wet and cold weather conditions being experienced in the area.

Maria is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 150cm tall, with a large build, medium black hair, and when last seen was wearing a black and brown dress, brown cardigan, and brown sandals.

Maria is known to frequent the Georges Hall and Bass Hill areas.
