Double fatality crash near Eden

Two people have died after a crash on the state’s far south coast yesterday.
About 1.45pm on Saturday 17 May 2025, emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash along the Princes Highway, Kiah, about 15km south of Eden.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and found a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Tarago had collided head on.
The driver of the Corolla – a 68-year-old man and a female passenger – also 68 – died at the scene.
The driver of the Tarago – a 71-year -old woman – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being flown to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
The passenger – an 81-year-old man – was taken to Southeast Regional Hospital, Bega with suspected internal injuries.
A crime scene was established as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
