Images released as investigations continue into alleged sexual act on train - Waterfall

Police have released images in an appeal for information as investigations continue into an alleged sexual act on a train at Waterfall.

Officers attached to Police Transport Command Proactive Crime Team commenced an investigation on Saturday 3 May 2025 following reports an unknown man was observed performing a sexual act towards a woman on a train travelling from Town Hall to Waterfall about 12pm.

The 45-year-old woman alerted railway staff at Waterfall train station, where the man alighted from the train.

Police were subsequently called and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries are ongoing, police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance and about 165-175cm tall. He is depicted wearing a white shirt, grey track suit pants, black sneakers and a black cap.
