Body located in search for missing woman

A body, believed to be that of a woman missing from the state’s Central Coast, has been located today.

The 79-year-old was last seen on Ocean View Road, Ettalong Beach about 1pm, on Thursday (8 May 2025).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Following inquiries, about 12.20pm today (Saturday 10 May 2025), emergency services located the body of a woman at Iron Ladder Beach, Box Head.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing woman.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
