Teacher charged with sexual touching - Riverina Region

A teacher has been charged over a sexual touching incident in the states south earlier this year.

Detectives from the Griffith Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation regarding the alleged actions of a male high school teacher in the states Riverina Region on Thursday 27 March 2025.

Following inquiries, about 8.30am today (Friday 9 May 2025), a search warrant was executed at a home in Leeton and a 43-year-old man was arrested.

He was taken to Leeton Police Station and charged with intentionally sexually touch child over 10 & under 16 years.

The man was given conditional bail and will appear before Leeton Local Court on Tuesday 10 June 2025.
