Appeal to locate man missing from Sydney CBD

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney CBD.

Lars Johansson, aged 86, was last seen in on Bathurst Street, Sydney, about 6.50pm yesterday (Sunday 4 May 2025).

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police hold concerns for Lars’ welfare.

Lars is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of medium build, with white hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a navy-blue knitted jumper, a light blue polo shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black shoulder bag.

Lars is known to frequent the QVB, World Square and Circular Quay in Sydney CBD area.
