Four charged with more than 100 drug and weapon offences - Murray River PD

Four people have been charged with drug and weapon offences, following an ongoing investigation into the supply of drugs in the state’s south.

In March 2025, officers attached to Murray River Polic District established Strike Force Bodallin to investigate the supply and distribution of prohibited drugs in the areas of Murray River Police District.

Police believe a number of people were allegedly involved in the supply of prohibited drugs – believed to be methylamphetamine – in Tocumwal, Berrigan and Finley areas.

Following inquiries, just after 8am today (Wednesday 30 April 2025) strike force detectives, with the assistance fromo State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad, executed four simultaneous search warrants in Findley, Tocumwal and Berigan areas where they arrested two men – aged 43 and 24 – and two women – aged 58 and 37.

Officers from Victoria Police executed a search warrant in Strathmerton area on the same day where they arrested two people and seized an amount of drugs, believed to be linked to the investigation under Strike Force Bodallin.

The 37-year-old woman was charged with 78 offences relating to drug supply, in addition to knowingly/recklessly direct criminal group assist crime, owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises, and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

The 24-year-old man was charged with 20 offences including participate criminal group, seven counts of knowingly take part in supply prohibited drug, three counts of possess prohibited weapon, and owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises.

The 58-year-old woman was charged with 5 offences including participate criminal group, and four counts of knowingly take part in supply prohibited drug.

They all appeared at Finley Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 30 April 20025, where they were each formally refused bail to appear in Deniliquin Local Court on Tuesday 13 May 2025

A 43-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug less than or equal to small quantity, supply prohibited drug more than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and possess prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Finley Local Court on Tuesday 27 May 2025.
