Appeal for information after house destroyed by fire - Albury

Police are investigating following a suspicious house fire in the state’s Murray River region yesterday.

About 3.45am (Sunday 16 October 2022), emergency services were called to a home on Calimo Street, North Albury, following reports of a house on fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze just after 5.30am; however the home was extensively damaged.

The home was unoccupied at the time and there are no reports of injury.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
