Raptor Squad charge three people following investigation into large scale drug supply across NSW

Raptor Squad officers have charged three people following an investigation into alleged drug supply across NSW by an Organised Criminal Network.

The investigation began in July 2023 by officers attached to State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad looking into the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney and NSW such as ketamine, methylamphetamine, cocaine and ephedrine.

Following inquiries, about 5.50am on Friday (10 November 2023), officers stopped a vehicle in Cronulla and arrested the driver – a 34-year-old man.

The man was taken to Sutherland Police Station where he was charged with four counts of large commercial drug supply, four counts of indictable drug supply and two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail and appeared in Sutherland Local Court on Saturday 11 November 2023.

About 7am that same day, officers executed four simultaneous search warrants at homes in Cronulla, Caringbah and Darling Point.

At the Darling Point address, police arrested a 34-year-old man who was taken to Waverley Police Station.

He was charged with knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and three counts of possess prescribed restricted substance.

The Darling Point man was refused bail and appeared before Waverley Local Court the same day.

During searches of the homes, police located 1.3kg of methylamphetamine, 5kg of ketamine, 700g MDMA and 150g Methylamphetamine, 107g of ephedrine, money counters, $224,050, electronics.

All items were seized to undergo further forensic examination.

A 28-year-old woman at the Caringbah address was issued a Court Attendance Notice for possess prohibited drug when police located 0.34g of cocaine.

She will appear in Sutherland Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 14 November 2023).
