Organised Crime Squad seize 117kg of drugs during "safe house" raid - Strike Force Mactier

Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged two men following an investigation into drug “safe house” in Sydney under Strike Force Mactier.

Strike Force Mactier was a joint investigation by State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad and the NSW Crime Commission.

Following extensive inquiries, about 10.10am yesterday (Friday 27 October 2023), strike force detectives – with assistance from the Operations Support Group – executed a search warrant in Pyrmont.

During a search of the address, police located 61kg of cocaine blocks, 29kg of Ketamine, and 27kg of MDMA pills stored across seven suitcases.

The total drugs found are estimated to have a street value of $42 million.

All the items were seized to undergo further forensic examination.

At the address, police arrested two men, aged 24 and 31, who were taken to Sydney City Police Station, where they were both charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug>large commercial quantity.

The pair were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 28 October 2023).

Commander of the Organised Crime Squad, Detective Superintendent Peter Faux said police will continue to target drug supply and manufacture across NSW.

“Our capabilities working with agencies like the NSW Crime Commission mean we can relentlessly pursue anyone involved in putting drugs on our streets,” Det Supt Faux said.
