Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Lismore area.

Leslie Williams, aged 60, left his home on Dawson Street, Lismore, about 7.30am Tuesday (22 November 2022), and was sighted about midday the same day at the intersection of Molesworth and Woodlark streets.

Officers from Richmond Police District were notified yesterday (Wednesday 23 November 2022), as he had not returned home. They have commenced inquiries to locate him.

Police and family hold concerns for Mr Williams’ well-being as he suffers from several medical conditions, and that he had only moved into the Dawson Street home four days before he went missing.

It’s not known what he was wearing at the time, and he did not take his mobile phone with him.

Mr Williams has family in Lismore, Moree, Pottsville and Murwillumbah.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to contact Lismore police, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
