Man charged after alleged domestic violence-related offences - Coffs Harbour

A man will face court today charged for alleged domestic violence offences while an investigation continues into weapons and drugs allegedly located during a search warrant near Coffs Harbour.
About 2.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 2 July 2025), the North Coast Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team – assisted by the Coffs Harbour Region Enforcement Squad, Coffs Harbour Proactive Crime Team, and Coffs/Clarence PD – arrested a 39-year-old man at a home on Smith Road, Emerald Beach, in relation to alleged domestic violence offences.
A search of the man allegedly revealed 0.5g of methamphetamine and an e-scooter believed to have been stolen.
He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was charged with possess prohibited drug, and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
An outstanding warrant was also executed for alleged domestic violence assault offences.
He was refused bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court today (Thursday 3 July 2025).
Following further inquiries, a search warrant was executed at the Emerald Beach home a short time later.
During the search warrant, two men – aged 32 and 36 – arrived at the property. When inquiries revealed the younger man was allegedly breaching his bail, he was arrested and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was issued a court attendance notice for breach of bail. He will appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
As a result of the search warrant, police allegedly located and seized a firearm, ammunition, firearm components, a slingshot, 10g cannabis, 7g cocaine, 50ml suspected GHB, and a mobile phone.
The items will undergo forensic examination.
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
