Man charged following alleged assault of boy - Blacktown

A man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a boy in Sydney’s west earlier this year.
About 3.10pm on Friday 30 May 2025, police were told a 13-year-old boy was travelling on a train between Blacktown and Werrington when he was allegedly assaulted by another passenger.
The boy suffered minor injuries.
Officers attached to the North West Police Transport Command commenced an inquiry.
About 3:30pm yesterday (Tuesday 1 July 2025), police attended a home in Burringora Street, Werrington, and arrested an 18-year-old man.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 2 July 2025) where he was granted unconditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
