Woman charged following alleged stabbing - Fairfield

A woman has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s south west.

About 11.45am today (Monday, 16 June 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a unit complex in Harris Street, Fairfield.

On arrival, officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Comman attended and found 46-year-old man suffering a stab wound.

Officers rendered first aid before NSW Ambulance paramedics took the man to hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable.

A crime scene was established and investigations surrounding the incident commenced.

A short time later, a 20-year-old woman attended Fairfield Police Station and was placed under arrest.

She was charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV).

She was refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 17 June 2025).

Police will allege in court the two are known to each other.
