Robbery & Serious Crime Squad have charged four people following an alleged violent home invasion in Sydney’s west earlier this year.
About 12.30am on Monday 24 February 2025, emergency services were called to Fremont Avenue in Ermington following reports of a break and enter.
On arrival, officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command were told four unknown people had broken into a home and assaulted two men, aged 17 and 48.
The unknown group also allegedly stole a number of electronic devices before leaving the scene.
The occupants of the home were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, and the older man was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established and local police commenced initial inquiries before State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad took carriage of the matter.
As part of ongoing enquiries, police released CCTV of a group of four unknown men who may be able to assist.
From 6am yesterday (Wednesday 4 June 2025), detectives – with assistance from Raptor Squad – executed warrants in Mt Druitt and Bidwill.
At the Mt Druitt address, police arrested two males, aged 20 and 17.
The males were taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where they were charged with aggravated break & enter & commit serious indictable offence-inflict actual bodily harm, aggravated break & enter & commit serious indict offence-deprive liberty, be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner, and participate in a criminal group.
The younger boy was also charged with failing to comply with digital evidence access order direction. He was refused bail and appeared in a Children’s Court yesterday.
The 20-year-old was refused bail to appear in Mt Druitt Local Court today (Thursday 5 June 2025).
In Bidwill, police arrested a 21-year-old man. He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated break & enter & commit serious indictable offence-inflict actual bodily harm, aggravated break & enter & commit serious indict offence-deprive liberty, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, and participate in a criminal group.
The man was refused bail to appear in Mt Druitt Local Court today.
About 12.30pm yesterday, detectives arrested an 18-year-old man in Nirimba Fields.
He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated break & enter & commit serious indictable offence-inflict actual bodily harm, aggravated break & enter & commit serious indict offence-deprive liberty, be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner, and participate in a criminal group.
The man was refused bail to appear in a Children’s Court today.
