Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives have released CCTV as they investigate an alleged violent home invasion in Sydney’s west.
About 12.30am on Monday 24 February 2025, emergency services were called to Fremont Avenue in Ermington following reports of a break and enter.
On arrival, officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command were told four unknown people had broken into a home and assaulted two men, aged 17 and 48.
The unknown group also allegedly stole a number of electronic devices before leaving the scene.
The occupants of the home were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, and the older man was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established and local police commenced initial inquiries before State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad took carriage of the matter.
As enquiries continue, police have released CCTV of a group of four unknown men who may be able to assist.
The men are first captured on CCTV about 9.25pm on Sunday 23 February getting out of a black van on Dudley Road in Guildford.
What is believed to be the same group of men is then seen arriving in Ermington about 11.30pm that night in a stolen Mazda CX5 and walking towards the Fremont Avenue address.
Anyone with information about the identification or movement of the unknown males are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
