Appeal to identify second man after body located in Croydon Park home

Burwood detectives are appealing for public assistance to locate a man who may be able to assist investigations after a body was located in a Croydon Park home yesterday.

Just after 5pm (Monday 2 June 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Kembla Street, Croydon Park, following reports of an alleged stabbing.

On arrival officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command found the body of a man inside the home with stab wounds to his neck.

He is yet to be formally identified; however, police believe he is a 29-year-old Malaysian national.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Burwood Police Station before being taken to hospital for assessment, where he remains under police guard.

Police established a crime scene and detectives have commenced Strike Force Buchanan to investigate the incident.

Following inquiries, strike force detectives are hoping to speak with a man who may be able to assist with investigations.

The man was last seen on Kembla Street, Croydon Park, yesterday afternoon.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, with a solid build and was last seen wearing black jumper with red symbols on the back, blue jeans, black shoes, a black hat and carrying a black satchel.
