Help sought after woman injured when stolen car crashes -Orange

Police are appealing for information as they investigate a crash in the state’s Central Tablelands.

About 5.15pm yesterday (Monday 26 May 2025), emergency services were called to the intersection of Summer and Sale Street, Orange, following reports of a crash involving a blue Subaru WRX, a maroon Toyota Landcruiser, and a silver Mitsubishi ASX.

Police were told the driver, and three males fled the Subaru following the crash.

A passenger of the Subaru – a 35-year-old woman – was trapped for a short time before she treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Orange Hospital, with serious injuries.

The driver of the Landcruiser – a 32-year-old man – was treated by paramedics before he was taken to Orange Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the ASX – a 33-year-old woman and passenger aged 27 – were not injured.

Checks revealed the Subaru was involved in a short pursuit in Wellington about 3pm on the same day and it was reported stolen from a home in Dubbo on Friday 23 May 2025.

Officers attached to Central West Police District - with the assistance of Crash Investigation Unit - have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
