- About 7am on Wednesday (14 May 2025), officers attached to the Liverpool Police Area Command Proactive Crime Team attended a hotel on Scott Street, Liverpool, to make inquiries in relation to a 31-year-old man who was wanted on four outstanding warrants for traffic and domestic offences. The man was seen to enter a stolen vehicle in the basement of the building and, when challenged by officers, is alleged to have rammed a police vehicle before attempting to run. The man was arrested allegedly resisting officers. When searched, a knife was allegedly found in his possession. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where the outstanding warrants were executed; he was also charged with drive conveyance without consent of owner, drive while licence cancelled, use offensive weapon to avoid lawful detention, hinder or resist officer, and carry cutting weapon on apprehension. The Miller man appeared at Liverpool Local Court last Thursday (15 May 2025), where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 4 June 2025.
- Officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District commenced an investigation after a 37-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted on Tuesday (13 May 2025), resulting in a broken jaw and a wound to her leg. Following inquiries, officers arrested a 44-year-old man at a Maitland home about 10.45am last Wednesday (14 May 2025). He was taken to Maitland Police Station and charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent (DV), and wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV). The man appeared at Maitland Local Court on Wednesday (14 May 2025), where he was formally refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
- Last Wednesday (14 May 2025), officers attached to the South West Metropolitan Region’s DVHROT – with assistance of specialist resources – attended a Strathfield home and arrested a 41-year-old man wanted on two outstanding warrants. He was also alleged to be breaching an existing ADVO at the time. The man was taken to Burwood Police Station where the outstanding warrants for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalk/intimidate were executed and he was also charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (DV). He appeared at Burwood Local Court the same day where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Thursday 22 May 2025.
- Last Wednesday (14 May 2025), officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended a home on Eddy Street, Merrylands West, following reports a 41-year-old man had allegedly breached a current enforceable ADVO contacting a woman known to him more than 30 times, as well as uploading intimate images of her to social media. When the man allegedly refused to leave the house, officers attached to the Public Order Riot Squad (PORS) forced entry and the man was arrested, allegedly spitting on and kicking police. He was taken to Granville Police Station before being transferred to Westmead Hospital for treatment. He was later released and charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (DV), use carriage service to menace/harass/offend, and three counts of assault police officer in execution of duty. He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday 17 May 2025.
- About 9am last Wednesday (14 May 2025), officers attached to Lake Macquarie Police District and the Northern Region DVHROT, arrested a man on Velinda Street, Edgeworth. Police will allege in court the man assaulted a woman known to him at a home in Edgeworth in March 2025. The 29-year-old man was taken to Toronto Police Station where two outstanding warrants were executed, and he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (DV). He was refused bail to appear before Toronto Local Court the same day where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Thursday 31 May 2025.
- About 7.30am last Thursday (15 May 2025), officers attached to the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad attended a home at Claremont Meadow to conduct an FPO compliance check. A 29-year-old man was found at the property in breach of a current enforceable ADVO. During the execution of a crime scene warrant, officers allegedly seized 14 vials of steroids, two sets of knuckle dusters, 130g heroin, $60,000 cash, and a dedicated encrypted communication device. The man was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with contravene restriction of AVO (DV) use prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, two counts of possess prohibited weapon, three counts of possess prescribed restricted substance, recklessly deal with proceeds of crime, deal with property proceeds of crime, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction, and breach of bail. He was refused bail refused to appear before Penrith Local Court last Friday (16 May 2025)
- About 9.50am last Thursday (15 May 2025), officers attached to Central West Police District attended a home in Forbes and executed an FPO compliance search. During the search, police located and seized a modified pole with a knife attached, ammunition, and a bag of crystallised substance believed to be methamphetamine. A 44-year-old man was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (DV), possess prohibited drug, acquire ammunition subject to prohibition order, and possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority. The man was refused bail to appear at Forbes Local Court last Friday (16 May 2025).
- Last Thursday (15 May 2025), officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District attended Newcastle Police Station and arrested a 25-year-old man after he was transferred from correctional facility. Police will allege in court that the man contacted a woman known to him more than 300 times between January and April 2025 and made serious threats of harm, in breach of a current enforceable AVO. He was charged with 75 offences including contravene restriction of AVO (DV), stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, use carriage service to menace/harass/offend and use carriage service threaten to kill. He appeared before Newcastle Local Court last Friday where he was formally refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday 4 June 2025. Investigations continue.
- About 11.25am last Thursday (15 May 2025), officers attached to Central West Police District attended a home in Orange to speak to a 32-year-old man, wanted on an outstanding revocation of parole warrant. A Taser was deployed to effect the man’s arrest. He was restrained and, when searched, officers seized methylamphetamine and $1520 cash. He was taken to Orange Police Station and assessed by paramedics. An outstanding warrant was executed. He will also be charged with resist officer in execution of duty, possess prohibited drug and deal with proceeds of crime and will appear before court at a later date.
- About midday last Thursday (15 May 2025), officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended a home at Cartwright after a man was alleged threatened by his brother before his vehicle was taken without consent. As police arrived, the man left in the vehicle and despite patrols, could not be located. About 4.15pm the same day, police stopped the vehicle on Woodward Crescent, Miller. The passenger, a 30-year-old man, was arrested after allegedly being found in possession of heroin. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, armed with intent commit indictable offence, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (DV), destroy or damage property (DV), larceny, and possess prohibited drug. He appeared at Liverpool Local Court last Friday (16 May 2025), where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 27 May 2025
- Officers from Newcastle City Police District commenced an investigation after a 23-year-old woman was allegedly repeatedly assaulted by a man known to her last Monday (12 May 2025). Following inquiries, officers attached to the Newcastle City Domestic Violence Team attended a home at Jesmond about 2pm last Thursday (15 May 2025) and arrested a 26-year-old man. He was taken to Waratah Police Station and charged with three counts of common assault (DV), two counts of knowingly contravene AVO (DV), armed with intent indictable offence - intimidation (DV), intimidation (DV) break and enter - malicious damage, malicious damage (DV) and two counts of persistent breach AVO (DV). The man was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court last Friday (16 May 2025).
- About 2pm last Thursday (15 May 2025), officers attached to Lake Macquarie Domestic Violence Team arrested a 34-year-old man on Cassia Crescent, Gateshead, after he allegedly breached a current enforceable ADVO. The man was taken to Belmont Police Station and charged with contravene AVO (DV) apprehended domestic violence order. He appeared before Belmont Local Court last Friday (16 May 2025) where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court today (Monday 19 May 2025).
- About 9.50am last Friday (16 May 2025), officers attached to Lake Illawarra Region Enforcement Squad (RES) and Southern Region DVHROT attended at a unit on McGrath Avenue, Nowra, and served an FPO on the occupant, a 41-year-old man. During a search of the home, officers seized a modified gel blaster, ammunition, knuckle dusters, methylamphetamine and cannabis. The man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with contravene restriction in AVO (DV), and two counts of possess prohibited drug. He appeared at Parramatta Bail Court last Saturday (17 May 2025), where he was formally refused bail to Nowra Local Court this Wednesday (21 May 2025). Investigations ongoing in relation to the firearm and ammunition.
- About 9pm last Friday (16 May 2025), officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended a Newport home after reports of an assault. A 45-year-old woman allegedly had her mobile phone smashed before being assaulted by her partner. A 33-year-old man was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station before being transferred to Northern Beaches Hospital for treatment. He was subsequently released and charged with intentionally choke a person without consent, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and malicious damage. He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court yesterday (Sunday 18 May 2025).
- Officers from Riverstone Police Area Command commenced an investigation after a 20-year-old woman was threatened by a man known to her with a knife at her workplace in Kings Langley, about 10.45pm last Friday (16 May 2025). The 26-year-old man was arrested about 2pm the following day (Saturday 17 May 2025) at a home in Whalan. He was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with use offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and destroy/damage property with intent to injure (DV). He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court yesterday (Sunday 18 May 2025).
- Last Saturday (17 May 2025), a 30-year-old man was involved in an argument with his 32-year-old partner at a Doonside home, where he is alleged to have taken her mobile phone. The man attempted to leave with a four-month-old child and allegedly assaulted the woman when she attempted to intervene. Police were notified and officers from Blacktown Police Area Command – with the assistance of specialist resources – conducted extensive inquiries over several hours, locating the child at a home in Marayong. Shortly after, the man was arrested and taken to Doonside Police Station where he was charged with knowingly contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (DV), assault causing actual bodily harm (DV), common Assault (DV), steal from the person, take/detain child with intent to remove from parental control (DV) and malicious damage. He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court yesterday (Sunday 18 May 2025).
