Employee Assistance Program

EAP is provided by an external provider with access to skilled clinicians across the state. EAP offers a range of support services for all NSWPF employees and their immediate family members. Support available includes free, confidential short-term counselling, specialty services related to lifestyle challenges and speciality helplines. EAP remains available to employees only for up to 5 years post disengagement. Crisis counselling is available 24/7. Download the free Converge International app on your apple or android device. The following support service provided by Converge International are available for all former NSWPF employees for up to five years from their date of disengagement from NSW Police Force employment.
Counselling (EAP)
An external support service that provides counselling for NSWPF employees who require support across personal and/ or lifestyle concerns. Available during normal business hours, via face to face (subject to location and accessibility), phone or video link.
Family Support

Provide emotional support, guidance and coordination of support services for families of NSWPF employees. The team also provide quarterly updates for subscribe family members and useful resources where applicable. Confidential conversations are available via phone, Monday to Friday during normal business hours.
The Family Support service is available to all former NSWPF employees and their immediate family for 5 years from their date of disengagement from employment with NSW Police Force.
Chaplaincy

Chaplains provide confidential pastoral and spiritual care to current and former NSWPF employees and their families. Chaplains can provide confidential support to employees and family members seeking support at home or in hospital; assistance after a tough or traumatic day; a ceremony or remembrance; or simply a friendly face, regardless of personal belief. Chaplaincy remains available at any time after leaving NSWPF.

Free, confidential, and evidence-based mental health support, through mental health checks, educational resources, and up to 12 telehealth or face-to-face sessions with trauma informed clinicians.
