Domestic violence is a critical issue in every state and territory in Australia. The NSW Police Force is committed to enhancing our operational response to this serious crime as well as providing improved support and referral services for victims.

NSWPF is particularly interested in research into:

5.1 Exploring whether there is link between serious organised crime offending and the perpetration of domestic violence.

5.2 Whether victims of domestic violence likely to report significant offending in other crimes when reporting incidents of domestic violence to police.

5.3 Building a machine learning model that can detect or identify threatening or coercive language from various data sources (audio, texts, social media activity etc.).

5.4 How can other Government and non-Government agencies work collaboratively with NSWPF to enhance operational (24/7) response to incidents of Domestic & Family Violence and deliver better outcomes for victims?
