Police appeal after firearms stolen during break-in near Nyngan

Police are appealing for public assistance after several firearms were stolen from a rural property near Nyngan last week.
Between Tuesday 20 April 2021 and yesterday (Thursday 29 April 2021), unknown persons forced entry to a shed on a rural property on Yarrandale Road, Hermidale.
Seven firearms were stolen from their safe storage cabinets, along with a hunting knife, spotlights, a gas welding kit and a chainsaw.
Officers attached to Central North Police District attended and commenced inquiries.
An investigation is underway, and police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area at the time, to come forward.
