Appeal to locate teenage girl missing from Leichhardt

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage girl missing from Sydney’s inner west.
Legacy Whakaneke, aged 14, was last seen in Leichhardt about 12.15pm on Sunday (5 October 2025).
When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command were notified and inquiries commenced to locate her.
Police and family hold concerns for Legacy’s welfare.
Legacy is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 160-170cm tall, solid build and long black hair.
She was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper, long black shorts, white shoes and a black cap.
Legacy is known to frequent the Blacktown, Parramatta, Bankstown, Bonnyrigg and St George areas and is known to use public transport.
