Transition Arrangements

FOR CAPI LICENCE HOLDERS UNDER THE CAPI ACT 1963

Expired agent and/or sub agent licence

To renew an expired agent and/or sub agent licence (issued under the 1963 Act) after the 1 May 2006, the 2004 Act requires you to lodge an application with the NSW Police Force.

The date your agent and/or sub agent licence expired will be recognised for the purpose of issuing a probationary or full operator licence and/or a CAPI master licence under the 2004 Act. If your agent and/or sub agent licence was current as at the 1 May 2006, you will be entitled to a full operator licence otherwise you will qualify for a probationary licence.

When we accept your application, regardless of when the expiry date of your agent and/or sub agent was, you will not be authorised to work. You will be advised in writing when your application is approved and you can collect your licence to commence working.

Incorrect or incomplete applications are rejected and only full and complete applications are accepted.
