Registered Training Organisation

The NSW Police Force became a registered RTO (Registered Training Organisation) in 1999, demonstrating a commitment to an educational framework for continuing development of operational competencies. As a RTO we are authorised to deliver training, conduct assessment and issue recognised qualifications and units of competency listed on the NSW Police Force's scope of registration.

As an RTO, NSW Police complies with the VET Quality Frameworkand all other applicable conditions of registration. The NSW Police Force must continually meet the Standards for Registered Training Organisations under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 201.

The NSW Police Force, as a Registered Training Organisation, has been granted an exemption from the Unique Student Identifier (USI) scheme, enabled by the Student Identifiers Act 2014.

It is imperative that students understand when undertaking nationally recognised training, where the NSW Police Force is responsible for the delivery and the issuing of the qualification or statement of attainment, their achievements will not appear on their authenticated VET transcript or be available to them via the USI scheme.
