Our Customer Service Program and Charter
The NSW Police Force is committed to providing the community and people of our own organisation with responsive and meaningful customer service. Ensuring we maintain quality customer service is one of the highest priorities of every NSW Police Force officer. It is what the community we serve deserves and expects.
A customer service charter has been developed to explain, in clear and simple terms, the standard of service members of the community can expect in their dealings with the NSW Police Force.
This service includes:
- being accessible
- being professional and helpful
- taking appropriate action to resolve issues or enquiries and
- keeping people informed.
Importantly, the charter also explains how members of the community can help their police deliver these services.
Who are NSW Police Force customers?
Our customers are the victims of and witnesses to crimes, members of the community and our own internal colleagues and stakeholders. The people we arrest and suspects for crimes will not be considered customers as they will be dealt with under specific legislation, policies and procedures.
