The full time Associate Degree of Policing Practice requires 30 contact hours per week for Session 1 and 40 contact hours per week for Session 2 , plus self directed learning and research. There is time for relaxation. The Goulburn campus boasts a well-equipped gym as well as bicycles, walking tracks and access to golf clubs. There are about 1000 people on campus each day, including experienced police officers, as the College offers over one hundred specialist courses for operational police.

Many students go home on weekends when studying at the NSW Police College, Goulburn.

The Goulburn campus has room for accommodating 650 students and the Goulburn community provides home stay accommodation for another 150-200 up to 400 students. Short-term leases are also available off campus for students who want to share.
Students can also apply for the large number of scholarships available to help cover their study expenses.
