Fatal crash - Northern Tablelands

A woman has died after a single-vehicle crash in Glen Innes yesterday.

Just after 10.45pm (Saturday 12 August 2017), emergency services were called to Shannon Vale Road, Glen Innes, following reports of a crash.

Officers from New England Local Area Command attended and found a Holden Commodore utility had crashed at the location.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated a 19-year-old woman, who had been a passenger, before taking her Glen Innes Hospital, where she later died.

The 18-year-old man who had been driving the car was also taken to Glen Innes Hospital before being transferred to Tamworth Hospital for further treatment.

Northern Tablelands Crash Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstance surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
