Car crashes into church – Maroubra

Investigations are continuing after a car crashed into a church in Maroubra last night.
About 8pm a white Mitsubishi Magna was being driven east along Maroubra Road when it left the road and hit the front entrance of St John Baptist Church.
The church was empty at the time.
The driver, a 33-year-old man, and a 27-year-old woman travelling in the front passenger seat, were taken to Prince of Wales Hospital. The woman sustained a head injury and the man minor injuries.
Inquires into the cause of the incident are continuing.
