Attempted armed robbery - Narrandera

Police are appealing for information after an attempted armed robbery in Narrandera yesterday.

Police have been told about 4am (Sunday 16 July 2017), a 17-year-old boy was walking on Watermain Street, Narrandera towards Mount Street when he was approached by a man who threatened him with a knife, causing an injury to the teenager’s face.

The teenager has then punched the man and the man has left the scene empty-handed and was last seen on foot heading east on Watermain Street.

The teenager was later treated at Narrandera Hospital for his injury.

Police from Griffith Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

Officers wish to speak to a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

He is described are being Caucasian in appearance, in his early to mid 20s with an Australian accent.
