Man dies in fatal collision - Yerriyong, near Nowra

A man has died following a fatal collision near Nowra on the state’s south coast this morning.
About 7.30am (Monday 17 July 2017), a car and a heavy vehicle towing a dog trailer, were travelling in opposite directions on Braidwood Road at Yerriyong.
The vehicles collided causing the truck to leave the road and the cabin to rest on its side.
The 65-year-old driver of the truck was trapped in the cabin and eventually released by NSW Ambulance Rescue. He was airlifted to St George Hospital suffering serious injuries.
The driver of the car died at the scene and has not yet been identified.
Crash Investigation Unit are at the scene.
A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Braidwood Road in closed between Albatross Road and Turpentine Road and local diversions are in place.
