Fatal motorcycle crash - Cameron Park near Newcastle

Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash at Cameron Park yesterday.

Shortly after 4.30pm (Sunday 16 July 2017), emergency services were called to the M1 Pacific Highway northbound, Cameron Park, following reports of a motor cycle crash.

Initial investigations suggest the motorcycle was travelling northbound on the M1 Pacific Highway, lost control, and impacted on an Armco railing when it crashed.

The male rider, aged 17, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, however died shortly after.

No one else was injured during the incident.

A crime scene was established and investigations into the crash are continuing.

A report will be prepared for information of the Coroner.
