Woman threatened during robbery - Lidcombe

Police are investigating after a woman was approached by a man and threatened in Sydney’s west.

A 26-year-old woman was walking along John Street, toward Mary Street, Lidcombe, about 11.30pm yesterday (Saturday 15 July 2017), when she was approached by a man.

The man, who was carrying a knife, threatened the woman and demanded cash and other items. The woman complied and the man fled the scene.

Officers attached to Flemington Local Area Command searched the area and commenced an investigation.

Police would like to speak to a man who might be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described to police as being about 18-21 years old, 170cm tall, of skinny build with tan skin. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper with a black jacket over the top and light coloured blue jeans.

Inquiries are continuing.
