Fatal stabbing - Whalan

A crime scene has been established after a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s west.

About 5.30pm (Saturday 15 July 2017), a domestic incident occurred at a home on Waikanda Crescent, Whalan.

During the incident a 50-year-old man received multiple stab wounds and died at the scene.

A woman and child at the scene were uninjured.

Police from Mt Druitt Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic specialists.

A short time later, a 20-year-old man was arrested nearby.

He has been taken to Mt Druitt Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
