Two persons injured after crash - Eastern Creek

Investigations are underway after two persons were injured following a six-vehicle crash at Eastern Creek today.

Shortly after 1.30pm (Friday 14 July 2017), emergency services were called to the M7 motorway south bound, Eastern Creek after reports four heavy vehicles collided with two motor vehicles.

The occupants of the Mitsubishi Pajero, a man and a woman, were trapped in the vehicle for a period of time before being released. They were both treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for injuries which are not considered life threatening, before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

The drivers of the B-DBL, three other trucks and the occupants of the Honda Accord were not injured.

Officers attached to Mt Druitt Local Area Command, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, with the assistance of Crash Investigation Unit attended and has commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash; anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

The M7 is currently closed with traffic diversions in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
