Pedestrian hit by car - Killara

A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle on Sydney’s north shore.

Shortly before 3pm (Tuesday 11 July 2017), emergency services were called to Werona Ave, Killara after reports a woman was hit by a vehicle.

The injured woman, aged 78, sustained a head injury and fractures.

She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the Toyota Camry, a woman aged in her 60s was not injured.

Officers from Ku-ring-gai Local Area Command, with the assistance of the Crash Investigation Unit attended and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
