UPDATE: Fatal single-vehicle crash - Northern Beaches

A man has been arrested and is assisting with inquiries after a woman died in a single-vehicle crash on the Northern Beaches early this morning.
Shortly after 1am (Tuesday 11 July 2017), a black Honda Prelude was travelling west on Mona Vale Road, near Forest Way, Terrey Hills, when it crossed eastbound lanes and crashed into a tree.
A rear passenger of the car, a 27-year-old woman, died at the scene.
Another woman, aged 23, and also seated in the rear of the car suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
A 20-year-old man, who was seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, was treated for serious injuries before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.
The driver, a 23-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. He was taken to Mona Vale Hospital and was released after undergoing mandatory blood and urine testing.
He was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station where he is currently assisting with inquiries.
A crime scene was established at the crash site and Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the crash.
Officers are urging anyone with information, or anyone who may have witnessed the manner of driving of the black Honda Prelude prior to that crash to call Crime Stoppers.
